To unlearn a profession, go to your Character Info sheet > Skills tab > click on the skill you want to unlearn and in the bottom pane, click on the red & gold icon next to the skill bar that says «unlearn this profession» when you hover over it.Note that, in Classic, if you change your mind, you will need to relearn and re-skill up the profession from scratch.

One small note. You say that mining pairs well with herbalism if you just want gathering professions. I would disagree since in Classic you can only track one thing at a time so if you track mining nodes you can not track herbs, likely causing you to miss the one you are not tracking. If you want pure gathering then skinning usually is the go to skill combined with either mining or herbalism.

I might be blind but nowhere on this guide could I see what the levels are for levelling up in herbing or what trainers to go to for learning the next step. It is quite frustrating for a guide not to have this basic and important information.

This is the funniest guide ever, especially this part:If another player is fighting near an herb node, generally this indicates that they want to gather it once they’re out of combat. It is recommended to either assist them in combat, or wait until they’re done to determine if they’re planning to gather the herbalism node you’re interested in. Similarly, if another player is moving towards a herbalism node, using an ability that increases your movement speed to beat them to it can be considered rude.
If they are alliance, I will do anything I can to gank their herb or mine even if I am not on a PvP server including fearing them in the middle of them plucking an herb out of the earth. Death Coil FTW!

Another argument in favor of taking herbalism on your druid is the aquatic form makes collecting stranglekelp *much* easier. Warlocks and shaman (with a reagent) have water breathing spells, but they need to be renewed, and they don’t get the swim speed bonus that druids do. It’s also rather fun to have water breathing potions ready for your aquatic form quest. Looking forward to TBC, druids have even more advantages with flight form. Oh, and stealth! Sneak in, kill maybe one or two mobs, get the herb you need, and sneak out. All of these things make druids the best for gathering, IMO.

If you’re not herbing for mats but skill instead and there are other leveling herbers around as well, consider leaving the herb. Multiple people can skill off of one node if the node isn’t gathered into your bags. If auto loot is enabled, just press shift while gathering and you will have the default option to leave the node while gaining a skill point (if applicable) so others can also skill off it as well. This works in dungeons also. The idea is that multiple gatherers can skill from every single node while still splitting the looted nodes down the middle or rolling for the results. If everyone can skill up and you don’t need the mats, why not help others out?

I found Swamp of Sorrows to be severly lacking in Kingsblood contrary to what the guide said so this might need an update or, I was just super unlucky! Im finindg STV to be the stronger one for it but I’ma try out Wetlands as a back up because I just dislike STV utterly ha.

First Aid Quick Information

Benefits of First Aid in WoW Classic

• helps reduce downtime between battles, as bandages will quickly restore health post-combat. Classes with healing spells will also benefit from First Aid, as using a bandage will help conserve mana. Hunter and Warlock players can also apply bandages to their pets and demons respectively.
• In PvP encounters, players can use bandages to restore their health while in combat or provide triage to other injured players that are not actively taking damage.
• helps with conserving healers’ mana and casts in dungeon, raid and PvP environments, as bandages will allow players to heal themselves and each other while they’re not actively taking damage.
• Characters below level 35 can raise their skill to 225 to use Heavy Runecloth Bandage, provided another character creates the bandages. This is primarily important for players that create twink characters in this level range (1, 19, 29, etc). This can also help with leveling alt characters, as they would have access to much more powerful bandages.
• Learning and leveling all of the secondary professions is highly recommended for all players (and considered mandatory for serious raiding and PvP), as they provide additional utility and alternative methods to earn gold. For the other secondary professions, consider checking out the Cooking and Fishing guides written by Quissy.

Healing with Bandages

• Bandages can only be applied to the same player/NPC once every 60 seconds, as bandages apply the Recently Bandaged debuff (similar to Weakened Soul).
• If the player applying the bandage or the player/NPC being bandaged takes damage, the healing effect will be canceled and the Recently Bandaged debuff will still be applied.
• The player that is applying the bandage must not move, otherwise, the channeling effect will be canceled. However, the player/NPC that is being bandaged is free to move so long as they remain within range.
• Bandages have a range of 15 yards when used on other players/NPCs.

Isn’t the minimum alchemy skill required to train artisan 200 rather than 225? It’s usually 25 below the max skill possible for the lower rank.

Fantastic guide! Short and to the point. Personally, I would have liked to have seen the skill level requirements next to each trainable potion so I could estimate how much additional time I would have to spend leveling herbalism alongside Alchemy during the leveling process of a new account.I’ll gather that information myself and put it alongside the guide anyways, just would be neat to add it for all those who won’t take the extra effort.

This guide is incorrect. Dr. Marsh is the Expert trainer in Undercity. The one you have listed as the Expert is an Artisan trainer. It also mentions Enchanting skill.

One trivial suggestion: I overlooked the initial discussion that mentioned «You can train Artisan Alchemy from at level 35 with 200 Alchemy Skill.» — My suggestion would be adding a «Player level 35 required» in the middle of the guide next to the part that says…Once hitting 225, don’t forget to learn Alchemy — Artisan from:Kylanna Windwhisper — Feathermoon StrongholdRogvar — Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows

If you are finding Briarthorn prohibitively expensive on your Classic server like I did (or you just want to sale it while it’s hot if picking yourself) a great alternative might be to do Blackmouth Oil into Elixir of Water Breathing instead. I was able to buy stacks of Oily Blackmouth for little more than what a single Briarthorn cost. Also, the Water Breathing elixirs actually sale — and on my server make about a 10silver profit when its normally unheard of that a leveling recipe makes profit.

Is there really no way to just… look at a list of potions that are taught, and at what skill level… and make my own decision? It’s a great guide, I just literally cant find the old pages that JUST had the recipes, for any trade skills. Is this gone?

5. Oils — usually made from fish from Fishing, and a reagent needed for other Alchemy items like Blackmouth Oil for Elixir of Water Walking.
Elixir of Water Walking is not available to players. It seems it was removed during beta.

This guide is terrible. Arthas Tears is a 25-30s herb, while Goldthorn is around 40s and Sungrass is 75s.Yet the guide tells you to abandon Elixir of undead detection the moment you unlock agility. Which costs four times as much to make.You’d be far better off riding elixir of UD for 10 more skill points here, preserving the more valuable Goldthorn and Sungrass, and this is by far not the only part of the route to 300 in that guide where you burn expensive reagents just because the cheap recipe just turned yellow. Arthas Tears are a junk herb of almost no use, that is why they will always be dirt cheap and why you should ride junk herbs to raise your skill rather than expensive herbs with multiple uses I should not have to explain.

В Burning Crusade алхимики могут получать новые рецепты, совершая открытия. Открытия периодически происходят во время изготовления предметов по уже известным рецептам.

Открытия — это единственный источник рецептов для трансмутации. Для открытия новой трансмутации подойдет любой рецепт из дополнения TBC, максимальный навык профессии и специализация на трансмутации не требуется. Кроме того, открытия можно совершать где угодно, находиться в локации TBC необязательно.

Crafting Flasks

Once you’ve maxed out your alchemy skill, you’ll probably want to take advantage of one of the greatest benefits: flask crafting. Unfortunately, there is an added requirement to the creation of flasks unlike other alchemy recipes. If you want to craft a flask, you’ll need to do it directly at an alchemy lab!

There are only two alchemy labs in the game. There is one in Scholomance, but there is also another in Blackwing Lair. Both of these alchemy labs will require you to form a group so you can kill the enemies guarding one, but this is often a weekly event that raiding guilds will schedule so flasks can be created for the entire raid group.

If you are going on a trip to Scholomance or Blackwing Lair, make sure you bring all the materials necessary for crafting your flasks with you! If you don’t have them in your inventory, you’ll just have wasted a trip as you can’t craft them!

Что должны алхимики выбрать: Алдоров или Провидцев?

Не выбирайте Провидцев только потому, что он единственный, у кого есть рецепт алхимии. Прежде чем принять решение, посмотрите на все предметы, которые предлагают Алдоры и Провидцы.

Как и в случае с любой профессией, алхимия содержит много новых рецептов в Dragonflight. С обновлением системы профессий некоторые старые классические предметы были удалены (прощай,  Transmute: Meat to Pet !), в то время как другие были изменены для нового расширения (настой, культовый элемент алхимии, был переименован и переработан как склянки). Почему алхимия полезна в Dragonflight?

С запуском предварительного обновления Dragonflight профессии в целом получают столь необходимую переработку. С добавлением специализаций, качества реагентов, второстепенных характеристик только для профессий и уровня навыков профессии стали гораздо более сложными, чем когда-либо прежде. Благодаря этой переработке алхимия остается сильным соперником среди профессий как по полезности, так и по способности делать золото.

• Как и в случае с каждым дополнением, спрос на расходные материалы алхимии будет высоким для игроков в большинстве типов контента. С изменениями в зельях и флаконах (теперь называемых флаконами) игроки смогут экспериментировать с большим количеством комбинаций, чем когда-либо прежде, чтобы максимизировать свой урон, исцеление и защиту.
• В алхимии есть две специализации, дающие полезные бонусы игрокам, помимо их ремесленных способностей.  Зелья, приготовленные из льда, и зелья, приготовленные из  воздуха, имеют перк на 15-м уровне Знаний, предоставляя повышенное исцеление от зелий Драконьих островов и повышенную скорость передвижения от зелий Драконьих островов соответственно. На уровне знаний 1 тех же специализаций появляется дополнительный бонус к постепенному исцелению и скорости передвижения, что дает еще больше стимулов для алхимиков. Это небольшое дополнительное исцеление и скорость могут иметь значение между вайпом или победой для вашей группы!

Зарабатывание золота с помощью алхимии в Dragonflight

• Специализация имеет огромное значение! Поскольку у вас больше свободы в выборе собственного пути специализации, у вас также больше возможностей найти свою нишу для добычи золота, особенно в начале жизни драконьей стаи, когда не у каждого ремесленника будет полностью прокаченное дерево.
• Поскольку расходные материалы пользуются большим спросом, особенно во время таких событий, как гонки «Первые в мире», зелья и фиалы будут слетать с полок регионального аукционного дома, создавая приличную прибыль для большинства алхимиков.
• Заказы на работу, флагманская функция смены профессий драконов, могут предоставить уникальные возможности для получения прибыли сообразительному алхимику. Самое сильное основное зелье характеристик,  Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power, является Bind on Pickup — это означает, что алхимики, скорее всего, получат прибыль от игроков, которые занимаются другими профессиями.

• Трансмутации: Алхимики имеют долгую историю манипуляций с элементами, и Трансмутации Драконьих Островов продолжают ее. Имея базовый реагент, алхимики могут преобразовать один (или несколько) элементов в другой — например,  Преобразование: пробуждённый воздух,  Преобразование: пробуждённый мороз и  Преобразование: порядок в элементы.
• Котлы: в групповой среде алхимики могут предоставлять котлы своей группе, позволяя нескольким людям получать зелья. В то время как котлы раньше давали фляги, драконы изменили рецепты, чтобы вместо этого давать краткосрочные зелья. Некоторые Котлы Драконьих островов – это Котел с зельем высшей  силы и  Котел Пуки.
